Two ways to bring an impact report to life

Your impact report can do more than report.

A big part of what we do at GOOD is help non-profits or foundations tell their stories through impact reports. An impact report is more than a record of activities. It’s an opportunity to celebrate milestones, demonstrate impact through story, and give people a sense of the meaningful work happening in their community.

Here are two examples of how we’ve helped Calgary arts organizations take very different approaches to sharing their impact.

For the Rozsa Foundation, we developed a horizon-inspired visual theme for its impact report, reflecting the launch of a new training program: Rozsa Horizons of Arts Leadership. In this case, the report took the form of a printed piece—much like a magazine with feature articles and regular columns, and the bonus of having a tactile piece to flip through at one’s leisure.

For Calgary Arts Development, the impact report takes the form of a website—making it accessible to a much broader audience than would be possible through limited print distribution. We established a visual system and site architecture that could be reused with new content every year. Each edition brings together real stories, funding figures and Calgary Arts Development’s broader arts advocacy work in an accessible, engaging microsite.

The right format depends on the story you want to tell, the people you want to reach, and how you want them to experience it.
