Visual identity, website + report

All over the world, the very serious problem of access to clean water exists. Thankfully, there is CAWST; teaching people how to get safe drinking water and sanitation using simple, affordable technologies. However, CAWST’s previous identity was showing its age and it was time for something that better-reflected its maturity and stature.

 

CAWST (the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology) wanted to be known only by its acronym, so we focused on the “C” and worked to convey a water drop within its shape. The colour gradient gently references water treatment – from dirty to clean.

 

This new identity exemplifies CAWST’s transition from a scrappy start-up to one of Calgary’s best success stories, and will serve them well as they continue to provide critical assistance to people wherever needed.
