A legacy of Calgary’s year as a Cultural Capital of Canada in 2012, the Cultural Leaders Legacy Arts Awards is funded by a local philanthropist or organization with matching money from Calgary 2012. The award supports artists, arts organizations, arts administrators, and volunteers.
GOOD Company’s logo for this initiative was driven by the unique qualities of Goku’s letterforms and some thinking about how we could use them to create fluid, interconnected shapes. This worked with our client’s broader vision of a “creative, connected, Calgary.”
Once the logo was finessed, we studied different colour combinations and played with the unique cloud-like shape and thin line work to expand on the logo and begin to form a visual identity that we anticipate will evolve in interesting ways in the years ahead.
